Harley Davidson 2006 Ultra Classic Stalling

Has anyone any infomation regarding the stalling issues with the 2006 Ultra Classic.  This bike has been in the shop six times ... right from the beginning this has been a problem and the techs can't seem to isolate the problem...we are at our wits end....this was a brand new bike.

    Thanks any help appreciated..Mary

    Mary,

There are a few possibilities.  First, do you have the updated injectors?  Mid way through '06, Harley Davidson changed the injectors from 8 degree to 25 degrees.  You should be able to find this out through you local dealership.  If you don't they will replace them as per Service Bulletin M-1185, free of charge.  If you do have these injectors, the next question for you is, do you have a PowerCard on your bike or not?  If you don't, then youlikely have a lean condition that could be causing the bike to stall.  If you do have a Powercard on your bike then your green fuel may be turned up too high which is causing a rich condition that can also stall the bike.

if you still have no answer i have one. i believe the 06 have 13 degree fuel injectors. if you are still under warrenty and you *** like i did they will put in 25 degree( dont quote me on the actual degree) this will almost totally fix your trouble. you still need to run 93 or higher octane and add sea foam fuel additive at every fill to keep the microscopic ethinol fiber from clogging the injectors.my bike is cured minus an occasional cough with wal mart gas.
